At a time when Lalbandi functioned as a Village Development Committee, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lalbandi was established on Poush 24, 2062 B.S. as a sub-branch of the Malangawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Subsequently, the organization was upgraded to a branch on Falgun 16, 2065 B.S. Thereafter, following the declaration of the then Lalbandi Village Development Committee as a municipality in 2071 B.S., the organization was duly registered on Baisakh 20, 2072 B.S. at the District Administration Office, Sarlahi, in accordance with the Associations Registration Act, 2034, along with its own Statute, 2071, and was established as an autonomous institution under the name Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lalbandi.
In the same course, the organization became affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu, on Baisakh 31, 2076 B.S. After fulfilling all the prescribed criteria for affiliation with the Provincial Federation and the Central Federation—such as having a secretariat building with land owned by the organization, more than 2,000 members, and an audited financial statement showing an annual income exceeding NPR 2 million—it successfully obtained affiliation with the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Madhesh Province, on Poush 1, 2078 B.S., and with the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Kathmandu, on Poush 14, 2078 B.S.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lalbandi was established with the primary objective of ensuring the overall development, protection, and promotion of local industries, trade, and businesses. The main objectives of the Chamber are as follows:
